What Causes Calculi In Gall Bladder?

Question: my wife got ultrasound and the report says that few mobile calculi are seen measuring 6 to 9mm in size. in addition, an echogenicity measuring 21mm is seen in the fundal region, suspicious for calculus impacted in the fundas.

The ultrasound report shows presence of multiple stones in the gall bladder, one of which is impacted in the fundus. Fundus is the farther most part of the gall bladder which is most distant from the neck. Calculi lead to inflammation of the gall bladder mucosa. The stones can also present with symptoms of indigestion and regurgitation. The management of calculi is surgical removal of the gall bladder with stones.
