What Causes Burning Sensation In The Left Foot?

Question: when I lay down, I get a tingly/burning sensation on the top of my left foot that lasts about 2 seconds. No other symptoms.

All that sensation happens because when you are laid down the nerve of the foot is compressed/pinched and that would give the tingling sensation.

Try to not sleep on that side, or to avoid doing that movement.
If the sensation gets worse in terms of intensity of lasts longer, you can use a painkiller to relieve the pain.
