Brief Answer:
Rule out food allergy as the cause for symptoms

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank You for trusting HealthcareMagic

Since your husband developed these symptoms while eating, I would recommend ruling out Food allergy as the cause.
Most common cause of food allergy is milk, eggs, soy, wheat, shellfish, nuts etc. However, any food item can be the cause of allergic symptoms.
Food you were not allergic to before can also cause allergy symptoms later in life.

Try to figure out any such food item as a triggering factor.
Please be advised to follow-up with a primary care provider/ allergy specialist to undergo allergy testing.

If food allergy is confirmed as the cause for the symptoms, avoiding the triggering food item is important.

Hope I was able to help you

Brief Answer:
Allegy testing can aid in identifying exact trigger for allergy

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank You for following up

Allergy can be due to any ingredient used in cooking, preservatives present in some ingredients or even using same utensil to cook something that has been used to cook the allergenic food earlier can cause allergic reaction.Try identifying any common ingredient that could have triggered an allergic reaction.
It is very difficult to identify the exact cause. Allergy testing can help in diagnosing exact cause triggering an allergic reaction.

You can use Benadryl (diphenhydramine) for acute allergic symptoms.
If breathing difficulty develops, immediately go the Emergency room. Epinephrine injection may be required to control reaction and restore normal breathing.
