What Causes Burning Sensation In The Foot While Having Thyroid Dysfunction?

Question: Hello Doctor,

This query is regarding my wife who is 36 years old with 2 kids (caesarean ) and weighs 86Kgs. She has had a history of thyroid in the past which we did not followup after couple of visits. Over last 3-4 months, she has been experiencing burning sensation on her foot, primarily the left sole. Could you please advise what could be the reason and any medications in the interim before we visit a doctor over the weekend.
