Question: What could cause a burning sensation in penis when urinating ? Just started happening today.

Hi , I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I have read your query in detail , I understand your concern.
You are a diabetic and hypertensive. Also at this age your prostates might be enlarged. So, in your case, cause of Burning Urination can be any if the following:

1. Urinary Tract Infection.
2. Ureteric stones
3. Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) complicated by Prostatitis.

To help you better i need further information:
1. Any fever associated?
2. Your blood sugar levels?
3. Any history of Frequency, Urgency, Hesitancy while passing urine?
4. Any pain in abdomen or in back?
5. Any visible blood in urine?
6. Any past history of BPH?
