Brief answer....given below Detailed answer.... Hello, Thanks for the query. Such type of burning in feet is called as neuropathic pains and is referred as peripheral neuropathy. Although diabetes is the most common cause for such type of neuropathic pains in feet,but there can be various other causes for such tupe of pains,which include Alcohol abuse Deficiency of VIT B12 and folate Chronic kidney diseases HIV infections Any local injury Tight fitting shoes Fungal infection like athlete's foot. Sometimes,one can not find the cause and then it is called as idiopathic peripheral neuropathy. I would advise you to discuss with your doctor and get the required investigations done so as to arrive at the diagnosis and take appropriate treatment.
