Brief Answer:
Neuropathy more likely diagnosis in the feet

Detailed Answer:
Fibromyalgia is not a diagnosis which can typically see presenting or explaining the symptom of paresthesias and dysesthesias (pins and needles and burning sensation) in the feet.

Fibromyalgia is chronic painful condition believed to be more of a RHEUMATOLOGICAL disorder resulting in whole body (minus burning feet) musculoskeletal pain accompanied by fatigue, sleep, memory and mood issues.

If you were my patient I would be doing a neurological evaluation on you to look for causes of some type of peripheral neuropathy. I would be sure that you are not using alcohol or other toxic substances (including UNNECESSARY medications that can cause neuropathy as a side effect) and run blood work on you to include serum levels of B12, Vitamin D, D2, D3, FT4, TSH, ESR, and a CRP. I would then, send you to a rheumatologist if the neurological workup were unrevealing to see if FM could be a good diagnosis given your history and evolution of pain......I'm assuming you have more than just burning feet.

If you JUST have burning feet then, I would say the chance of your having FM with that as a presenting symptom is infinitesimally small.

If I've provided useful and helpful information to your questions could you do me a huge favor by CLOSING THE QUERY and be sure to include some fine words of feedback along with a 5 STAR rating? Again, many thanks for submitting your inquiry and please let me know how things turn out.
