Brief Answer:
Could be a fungal infection

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome to healthcare magic forum.

I understand from your query that you are concerned whether your partner's symptoms could be suggestive of a sexually transmitted disease.

From your history of itching and burning in the inner aspect of the penis, I would consider a fungal infection called " Candidial balanoposthitis".

It is an infection caused by an yeast.

He could apply a cream containing an antifungal like 1 % clotrimazole twice a day for 2 weeks.

He could also take an antihistamine like levocetrizine 5mg orally at bedtime for relief from itching.

Let me keep the area dry.

Hope this clarifies your doubts.

If you have any more queries, I will be glad to answer.

Take care.

Regards,
Dr. Johny Chacko
