What Causes Bumps On Wrist When Pressure Is Applied To The Palm?

default
Posted on Mon, 18 Jul 2016
Question: Hi, I am hoping you can help me with what this is. When I apply pressure to the bottom left side of my palm these "bump" or "bubbles" appear at the beginning of my wrist, I think it my vein. They are not painful or bothersome & are only there, or only happens when I apply pressure to the bottom part, bottom left part of my palm. I am attaching pictures of both, with pressure so the bumps appear and then without pressure and it is flat. what is this? vercouse veins? or something similar?

Brief Answer:
Could be engorged superficial veins.

It appears from your description that these would be the superficial veins at your wrist which should be normal. However I don't find the pictures that you had attached. could you please send the pictures again so that I can see and advice accordingly. We do get such cases at my Vascular Center. Brief Answer:
These are Reticular veins.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
This picture suggests superficial veins in the foot called Reticular veins.
They do not need any treatment as they do not lead to any problems.
You need not worry about them as they will be there but you will not be troubled by them.
Take care and do let me know if there are any other queries on this issue.
