What Causes Breathlessness Even After Taking Loratadine?

Question: Have been self-treating using Loratadine 10 mg. Am 91, have know idea how many of these I've taken..very hard to breathe and would take one more , and one more etc

Loratidine helps only allergy

Hi,

Loratidine works as anti allergy so helps if your problem is allergic. also it only works before allergic reaction happens. but if you already have mucus secretion which reduces airflow XXXXXXX doesn't help.
You should take mucolytic like guaifenesin. I suggest nebulizer or at least steam inhalation thrice a day. try for a day and let me know.
