Posted on Fri, 12 Feb 2016
Question: I get breathlessness after I eat and my face goes bright red. It can also happen after an alcoholic drink. I have had a lot of trouble with allergy over the years. Even a small amount of food will cause my face to go bright red. It tends to happen in the evenings.

Brief Answer:
You need to see a Gastroenterologist in Person

Detailed Answer:
Hi and Welcome t o HCM.

These are interesting symptoms and may be seen in several gastroenterologic conditions.

Firstly , it is seen in hormonal imbalances of Pancreatic and small intestinal hormones as well as seen in Carcinoid syndrome.

Also, this can be seen in food allergies.

You should do so called Octreotide test to rule out the first diagnosis and food allergy testing to rule out allergic reactions.

Any further queries are most welcome.

Wish you good health.
Regards
