Brief Answer:
breakthrough bleeding.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to hcm,
If you have been on combined oc pills and have been taking them continuously since last few months to miss your periods then it is natural to experience a breakthrough bleeding usually after 3 months of continuous use. However if the bleeding is just spotting and you are already in the mid-cycle then you may continue the pack till end and then allow your menstrual withdrawal to start naturally. And post that you may restart a fresh pack from day or 3 of your next cycle else similar spotting may just continue.
Presently the spotting can be addressed with the use of antifibrinolytics like TAB TRANEXAMIC ACID 500mg twice a day for 5 days. You may get it prescribed by your PCP.
