Brief Answer:
You ar ein sage hands, do as directed

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking!
Your doctor is right about the values. And for that we recommend re evaluation of blood pressure after 30 minutes of rest to see if that declines any further or not. I am sure he has sorted out the needs for antihypertensive meds and am sure just diet and lifestyle modifications and salt intake restrictions would suffice. Have a keen eye on your BP and remember you still are at the borderline of hypertension and not totally out of the woods so modify as directed.
Now the sciatica , so for that you are having vicoprofen and mortin. I would suggest some psychotherapies for the sciatica they work like charm. I am sure this conservative options of management is ideal for the age of 72. If the issue persists discuss some interventional procedures like epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency neurotomies, adhesiolysis , disk injections , vertebral augmentation and spinal cord stimulation etc.
Stay in touch with a physiotherapist and orthopaedist for the sciatica and take good care of yourself. Don't forget to close the discussion please.
