Brief Answer:
Improving bone density and skin elasticity should help

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows:

1. Tender bone pain at this age is usually secondary to reduced bone density.
2. Causes include osteoporosis or reduced calcium secondary to Vit D deficiency.
3. Will require evaluation for osteoporosis. The bones are fragile and at extreme risk of fracture. If bone mineral density was evaluated, and osteoporosis was ruled out, then Vit D deficiency is a strong possibility.
4. You can take calcium and Vit D supplements along with calcium rich diet.
5. With age, skin thins out and makes the blood vessels beneath prone to injury and easy bruises. Using moisturizers along with good hydration (at least 5-6 litres of water per day) with a protein rich diet should help in improving skin elasticity and less frequency of bruises.
6. Also, long-term corticosteroid therapy is known to reduce bone density. Asthmacort inhaler has a very low possibility, however, if necessary, needs to be continued. You need to discuss with your doctor regarding this.

Hope it helps.
