What Causes Body Aches After Intercourse?

default
Posted on Wed, 10 May 2017
Question: I am a 56 year old man. Why is it that the day or two (sometimes three days) after I have sexual relations with my wife I feel totally exhausted with many of my muscles strained and I feel like I am coming down with a cold?
Is there any vitamin I should be taking? Otherwise I am in generally good health.

Brief Answer:
How physical active are you?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for this query.

Sex is a very challenging physical exercise. You definitely get tired if you are not physically fit. I will suggest that you try to exercise more often and build endurance as this will help you resist more and recover quickly after sexual encounter. If you are physically fit and still encounter these, then you will need to be examined and evaluated for possible anemia. There is no need for vitamins/supplements. A healthy diet is okay.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me if need be.
