default
Posted on Fri, 12 Jun 2015
Question: Hi I'm a 37 yr old male and whenever I masturbate which is excessive after I pee a small bright red blood clot comes out in my urine. This happened about 6 months ago and then 2 months ago but I never cut down on masturbation. This question was asked and answered already but the other day I masturbated about a couple hrs before I went to an amusement park and I went on a small roller coaster. A little later I peed blood and it looked like a bloody nose so I went to the emergency room right way ! They did a urine culture which came negative and a ct scan abd and pelvis negative. No infection or stones! Now I'm worried and I have an appointment with a urologist stat! Please help

Brief answer....although looks like due to trauma but you need an evaluation by a urologist
Detailed answer...
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and understand your concern.

The main point in your history is getting blood only after masturbation and not otherwise.

2nd point is that you don't have any other symptom like burning or discharge from penis which rules out urine infection or stone or sexually transmitted diseases. Urine culture,CT scan have also come negative.

This picture gives a feeling that your problem is, most likely, due to forceful and violent masturbation resulting in injury in urethra or breakage of some fragile vein of your prostate gland while contracting.

It is good that you are going to meet urologist who would examine and investigate you and clear the doubts.

In my opinion there should not be any cause for worry.

I hope it helps, however you are most welcome to revert to me or any further query.

Best of luck
Thanks

Hey thanks for answering Doc! Actually before this happened for 3 days I had those bright red string small clots come out my pee after I masturbated. It would happen the 2nd time I pee and Not the 1st time. Then it would just disappear the rest of the day. Now for 3 days I have not masturbated or had sex and all is good no blood! Could I have bursted something while on the roller coaster from all the bumps and thrashing around? Thanks again

Hello,
Roller rides can cause injury to small veins of prostate causing bleeding.
Thanks
