Brief Answer: There are several possible causes of bloody urine! Detailed Answer: Hi and thank you so much for this query. I am so sorry to hear about this blood in your urine. I understand this must have been very disturbing to you and this has heightened the fears of a possible cancer. While this can be a possible cause of blood in urine, there are several other more coon causes to this. Some include infections, kidney stones, clotting disorders, kidney disease, etc. Having this at the back of our minds, we would go on to do further studies to find out what the exact cause of this is. A cystoscopy would look at the bladder directly but blood in urine can originate just from any other part of the urinary system from kidneys to the urethra. This may be just part of many tests to be done if this is not conclusive. Your blood count and the differential all look normal. There is really nothing too worrisome to bother about. Let's be patient and obtain more information before concluding on what the exact cause is. In all, there are several other possible causes of blood in urine that are more common than cancer of the bladder. Investigations would be able to tell what the exact cause is.. Don't conclude on cancer just yet. I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarification if need be. Dr. Ditah, MD.

Brief Answer: Maybe related to the gall bladder disease Detailed Answer: Thanks for this follow up. I cannot tell for sure what the cause of this increased count is but the fact that you have a gall bladder disease may be an explanation to this. Nephrotic syndrome is predominantly proteins on urine. With progression and further kidney damage, blood may be able to pass through. However, we can only raise hypothesis and not tell for sure what the exact cause is. With more testing, we would be able to gather more information and address whatever findings accordingly. Hope this helps. Wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications. Dr. Ditah, MD.
