Brief Answer:
No need to worry.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX and welcome to HCM.
Your concern is understandable. Blood in urine is not normal. It could be due to infection, or a prostatitis. If it's recurring only after an anal masturbation, you should get a TRUS (trans rectal ultrasound scan ) of prostate gland done with blood PSA, and urine culture tested.
You should see an Urologist with the reports or contact me, as i'm an Urologist. Mention your age. If you're on any medication, please mention that also.
With proper treatment, you should be fine. Don't worry at all.

Hi
I visited the same doctor again and was instructed to take Norflox 400, 2 times a day for 5 more days. They say it will be fine after the course. Is there no way to determine if i have prostatitis without the TRUS and PSA testing etc?..If it was prostatitis then would the same antibiotic i am taking help/cure the condition?

The bleeding happened only once since yesterday and there wasn't too much pain. Today however, i feel some pressure and discomfort in the area under my testicles, probably prostate region. This recurring of symptoms happened after i masturbated(not anal). There was pain during ejaculation but no blood at that time. If there are any symptoms i should look for which could indicate to a serious problem please let me know. The day i tried anal masturbation i noticed some blood on the object. Last question - when would it be safe to have sex with my girlfriend? I am copying my ultrasound report and routine urine test report exactly as it is below, please take a look.

regards XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Scan report shows bladder inflammation.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX
Well urine routine is normal. You should get an urine culture done .
Your Ultrasound scan is suggestive of inflammation within the bladder. Your age should be mentioned, as i can give you better advice regarding the treatment. If you're on any other medications, kindly mention that also.
At present, till the treatment is going on, avoid intercourse.
To diagnose prostatitis, urine culture ,PSA and an Ultrasound scan ( TRUS ), is essential. for the time being don't think of it. Just relax.
Wish you a speedy recovery. Feel free to contact me if required.
