What Causes Blood In Stool?

Question: Doctor, i did a colonoscopy in XXXXXXX this year. Everything was fine and i have hemorroids. From a week i had hadbrigh red blood in stools and when i wipe. What van tvis be? Can it be cancer?

No--This isn't a cancer. Most probably hemorrhoids are bleeding!!!

It seems to be due to the bleeding from the hemorrhoids and is very common issue associated with hemorrhoids.

Avoid constipation and for that keep a good amount of high fiber diet in routine. e.g. Green leafy vegetables and fruits. Plenty of Water to drink and add Citrucel dietary fiber supplements. Still constipated, you may take Lactulose syrup.

Now you have to consult your Gastroenterologist for in person evaluation and management goes according to the outcome of this visit which will enforce a through physical examination and some diagnostics if needed.
