Brief Answer:
Apply an antibiotic cream

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome to healthcare magic forum.

I understand from your query that your wife had a burn on her hand 3 days back.

I have seen the picture that you have attached.

It appears like a superficial burn with no infection.

You could apply a cream containing a combination of 1% silver sulphadiazene and chlorhexidine gluconate 0.2% 3 times a day after cleaning and drying the wound.

The burning sensation will persist for 3-5 days after the burn. If it is intense, she could take a pain killer like Tablet Diclofenac 50 mg once a day for a couple of days.

Ice packs will also help.

If any any point in time, you notice that the wound is becoming painful, redness spreading around the wound or yellow/ green coloured pus discharge, please visit a doctor to get an oral antibiotic prescribed.

Hope this helps you.

Take care.

Dr. Johny Chacko
