What Causes Bleeding Gums?

Question: I have been bleeding from my teeth for the past 2 weeks. I do not bleed 24/7 but ive found that I bleed when I brush my teeth or when I suck inside them.

Hi

This is because of the inflammed gums. Use povidone iodine antibacterial mouth wash and drink plenty of warm water. Use soft tooth brush to prevent damage to the gums.

how do you use it? and I only bleed from 2 places however it doesn't not hurt me at all

Thanks for writing back

The bleeding from the gums is because of gingival infection. During the infective process the gums will become inflamed and edematous. Thus the inflamed gums bleed on touch and also while biting some fruits.

My suggestions to you are:
1. Use 1:1 dilution (mix once spoon of the solution in 1 spoon of water) povidone iodine mouth gargles, 3-4 times a day after food.
2. Use soft tooth brush and gently brush over the teeth.
3. After brushing your teeth, gently massage the gums with the index finger.
4. Drink plenty of warm water. Warm water improves the blood circulation and relieves the inflammation soon.
5. Avoid coffee/tea/hot and chilled beverages/fizzy drinks.

If the symptoms persist, consult your dentist.
