Posted on Fri, 26 Aug 2016
Question: Hello Dr XXXXXXX my name is XXXXXXX and I am 52 yo..
I have just come from the restroom and noticed blood coming from my urethra but not in my urine that i can see with my eyes . It appeared as i was , for lack of a better term " milking the urethra during
the "shake" . I noticed the concentration of the blood increasing 4a I squeezed my scrotum and urethra
even-though the volume was less as I had previously done that.
I have a primary care physician and will go in for testing but would like an initial prognosos.
Thank you Sincerely

Dear Doctors, I failed to mention that at the time of the bathroom visit I
had also defecated with a fairly forceful repeated pushes not due to constipation as much as wanting to get it all out.
I apoloigise for the graphic detail ...

Brief Answer:
Several causes for blood seen from urethra.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX(XXX) and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist,i can understand your concern.

If you've seen blood coming out from urethra, then do these tests,to know it's cause:
1. urine routine and culture.
2. blood routine,creatinine,LFT,RBS,platelets,BT,CT,PT and PTT.
3. Ultrasound scan -KUB, with residual urine and a TRUS.

The blood may be due to several causes, but the above reports will give us an idea.
According to the cause,an expert opinion and treatment advice can be given.
Why are you taking Tramodol thrice daily ?
It would good to know, how long you've been taking the listed medication.

Wish you well.
