What Causes Bleeding During Pregnancy?

default
Posted on Mon, 29 Dec 2014
Question: Hi I'm six weeks pregnant but I started bleeding 3 days ago and have been bleeding till today. I went for a scan and my report says the uterus is normal, ante flexed and inhomogenous. The endometrium is well defined but thin and no intracavitary fluid collection. The assessment was non-gravid uterus and menstrual phase endometrium. I'm worried because I cannot explain what went wrong? Is there something wrong with me? Please help. Thanks

Brief Answer:
report says you are not pregnant

Detailed Answer:
hello,
thanks for contacting health care magic.

you say you are 6 weeks pregnant , but your ultrasound says that there is no pregnancy in the uterus at all. it says a non gravid uterus which means no pregnancy inside uterus.
endometrium is also thin which is not the case if you have been pregnant , even if there would have been an ectopic, endometrium would have been thick and decidualisation would have been evident.

did you check you pregnancy with the urine pregnancy kit and confirm it or you based it on the symptoms and missed periods?

I am afraid but as per the reports you are not pregnant.

Yes I did a pregnancy test after I missed my period. My last period was on the 22nd of October. I used a test kit and the 2 results came in positive. I am worried there may be something wrong with me if all of a sudden my scan result shows no pregnancy. What could have gone wrong? Is everything alright with my body? Will I be able to conceive again? So many questions

Brief Answer:
explained....

Detailed Answer:
If the results had come positive then i suggest you get an ultrasound again from a different ultrasound lab and ask to look for ectopic pregnancy.
also get a serum beta hcg test done which should show raised levels if pregnant.

if both still comes negative then there is a possibility that the test kits were faulty .

either you have undergone an abortion which you would know or you were never pregnant.
endometrial lining doesnt conform to pregnsncy as per scan report.

Nextly...i dont think there are any issues in you getting pregnant again.

regards.
