Question: I was diagnosed a few years ago with COPD. I now have a lot of other things going on. Some of my veins are turning almost black and have tingling and buzzing in my right foot and weakness and muscle spasms in most of my muscles. I now have a rash all over my face and neck along with a knot on my right side of my forehead and right temple. I had been in a home which had black mold downstairs. When I go to my Doctor she just wants to address on thing each visit. I am just tired!!! Plz help!

Brief Answer:

Due to thrombophlebitis

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

As per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this-

1) Some of your symptoms are suggestive of blood clot-related concerns, I'd suggest getting a clinical examination now by your Doctor. To confirm this, few tests like [D-Dimer and Doppler-ultrasound scan lower limbs] should also be done.

2) Do apply heat compression, take OTC painkiller like Paracetamol. Keep the affected leg or foot elevated.

3) Please discuss with your Doctor about prescription anticoagulant medication like [Rivaroxaban] and clot-dissolving medications like [Alteplase] and [Compression stockings]

Do follow lifestyle modifications like this -

1) If you're driving, stop every hour or so and walk around. If you must stay seated, move your legs regularly.

2) Try to avoid wearing tight clothing.

3) Try to drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration.

4) Do stretch your calves by walking at least once an hour.

5) Use compression stockings regularly.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care
