What Causes Black Spots On Penis And Testicles?

Question: Hi Doctor,
I found 5-6 black spots on my penis and testicles. It is there from the past 2 years.It is not hurting me and no feel of itching,swelling etc. But My question is , are these spots are harmful ? need any treatment to cure it?. i am really worried and embarrassed with this problem. I want to hear your comments, suggestions.Couple of month before i had raised the same question and Dr XXXXXXX answered and said this is due to multiple sebaceous cysts over penis and scrotum. Also he said no treatment required. For your further attention i am sending you the picture, pl have a look and give me a detailed answer what to next ??

They are Lentigenes. These are considered to be a normal finding. The distribution and number can vary between individuals and is genetically determined. You have nothing to worry.

Hi

As Lentigenes are an absolutely normal thing, therefore they need not be treated and can be just left as it is. However, if removal is desired for cosmetic reasons, they can be easily removed with CO2 Laser
