What Causes Bitter Taste In Mouth With Burning During Bowel Movement?
Liver function tests, abdominal ultrasound, biliru
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for the query,
This is very possible. However, knowing if this is the case in this context would be relatively easy.
Testing for Total Bilirubin, direct and indirect bilirubin, coupled with an abdominal ultrasound would be largely sufficient. The ultrasound would show the size and any presence of stones that could block bile flow.
The liver function tests, mainly Alanine Amino Transferase (ALAT) and Aspartate Amino Transferase (ASAT) , coupled withan abdominal ultrasound would be greatly sufficient.
Other tests like 5' Nucleotidase would be very informative in showing any blockage of bile flow that could sent back to the mouth to produce the bitter taste as well as the Gamma Glutaryl Transferase and Alkaline Phosphatase tests.
Your suggestions are reasonable possibilities. However, a clinical review and specific proposed tests above could be very helpful. Kind regards
