Brief Answer:
diabetes can cause these problems

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your comment.
While many people with type 2 diabetes have problems with weight gain, diabetes can cause weight loss if your sugars are not controlled. Thyroid disease may be another thing to consider when you are having weight loss. Another thing we always think about with weight loss, especially if it is severe or rapid, is cancer. If you have not seen your doctor lately please see them and let them know about the weight loss, you need to know the cause for this.

Loss of appetite can come from many causes, but it often just happens as we age. Our senses of smell and taste decline with age and this makes eating less pleasant. Sometimes adding spices to the food can help with this.

Diabetes can also cause a neuropathy (nerve injury) in your feet that can make them tingle and feel numb. There are medications your doctor can prescribe to help with this problem.

A cause of the bad taste in the mouth could be from some dehydration due to high sugars or infections in the mouth that can also be caused by high sugars.
Dental or gum disease can also cause a bad taste in the mouth so seeing your dentist could help clear this up.

I hope you get some answers and treatment soon,
Dr. Robinson
