default
Posted on Tue, 14 Apr 2015
Question: I am having really bad headache with facial pain as well since 2-3 days. As I was fasting for navaratri since 4 days I thought that this could be due to acidity or something because of change in diet, so i broke my fast last night. But still I am getting the pain. Morning I was fine but the pain started again. Not sure about the reason and its really troubling me a lot.

Brief Answer:
Brufen

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Fasting leads to low blood sugar levels and this can cause headache. Though you had broken the fast there it takes time to build the glycogen levels in the body, Earlier your blood was receiving glucose from gluconeogenesis (from ketones). It will take at least one to two days time to replenish.

Till then you should take a pain killer like Paracetmol 650mg or Ibuprofen400mg. It should be fine.

Hope this helps.
