Brief Answer:
Halitosis

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for the query.

Good to know that you have controlled blood sugar levels.
Bad breath or Halitosis is usually caused due to dental problems or ill oral health.
Its good that you are going to visit a Dentist for examination and treatment. Also I would advise you to visit an ENT specialist for examination and treatment.

Follow these instructions which will help in reducing bad breath:
1. Consume plenty of water (min 2 - 3lts/day). Drink a glass of water an hour before and after every meal. This will make sure consumption of adequate water.
2. Brush and floss your teeth twice a day.
3. Clean your tongue with tongue cleaner every day.
4. Betadine oral wash - 5ml in 50 ml of water, gargle twice a day.
5. If any chronic oral infections like tonsillitis or pharyngitis. Please get it treated from an ENT specialist with antibiotics.
6. Gargle with water after every meal to avoid any food particles left in the mouth.
7. You can have mouth fresheners after every meal.

Hope this answers your query. If any further questions, will be happy to help.

Regards.
