What Causes Axonal Sensory Polyneuropathy And Dysphasia?
Question: I've been diagnosed with severe (severe) axonal sensory polyneuropathy, (my nerves from knees down and hands are shot and extremely painful) dysphasia, (almost) achelasia, minimum of 20 brain lesions, multiple colon issues - removal of 10"of colon, ataxia, minere's disease, Raynaud's phenomenon and more. My EMG is so bad now that the tech stopped the procedure. My hands were starting to swell & my neurologist told me to see my rheumatoid dr. My primary care dr. Did some blood work & said I don't have rheumatoid arth. My grandmother had systemic sclerosis and a host of other serious problems. Can u foresee anything? Systemic Sclerosis?

Primarily you appear to be having a connective tissue disorder with multi organ involvement. People with connective tissue disorders have auto antibodies that destruct self tissue and cause dysfunction of various organs. Connective tissue is the base tissue in most of the organs and auto antibodies against them affect multiple organs as in your cases. Now the question arise which of the many Connective tissue disorders do you have..? With achalasia , systemic sclerosis is a strong possibility. You also are giving a family history of similar disorder though any clinician would not need any family history to suspect that. Neuropathy is also possibly due to same etiology. Please consult your rheumatologist as he/she will do tests to check the autoantibodies , their types, and the disease activity and accordingly prescribe you some medications to relieve your symptoms.
