What Causes Allergic Reaction On Skin While Under Stress Or Consume More Sugar?

Question: After what looked like a bug bite a itchy small lump persisted for days then started to grow constantly under the skin with a redish itchy infection like appearance. It grew slowly through some 30 days to the size of a bean and had some yellow spots i hoped would drain whatever was inside but it didnt. I started applying over the counter topical antibiotic and the growth stop and many days after massive usage it shrank completely. I also applied some doxicicline i had from a previous tick bite infection episode , crushed the pills and it seemed to help speed thing up. The skin in the area is darker i believe due to scarring. The problem is that whenever i'm going through a stressful fase and consume a little more sugar at that site tiny bug like edemas appear around that site (1, 2 or 3 spread over the area) and grow very fast only stopping if i apply more topical antibiótic after which they disappear whitin hours. The darkened área of the skin seem to be growing perhaps after these reinfections but i'm afraid it may be slowly growing without my body reacting, It begin some eight months ago at the lowest point in my life where my immune system was probably a wreck. Please if possible vive me some pointers. I beleive it could be anaeróbica bactéria since when i was fighting that first lump, after the skin got scratched i could apply h2o2 and it made it shrink very fast in comparison with the tropical intibiotic and also it appeare in a time that i had quit exercising and didn't resume since. I dont have diabetes as i've tested my blood sugar levels. It doesn't happen usyally, only when i'm under stress. A doctor i've seem for other reason told me itvwas likely a spider bite, it was some twenty days after the beggining. He said it would resume on itself' but as i said before i was going through a very low point eating bad, lots of worries and no exercise so my immune system was a crap. Now i'm wating well and have few worries, and after months beeing allright a stressful phase appeared and it restarted. Seems like after eating suggary stuff it appears, but not only then, thecreal trigger is stress, but i don't think it is self immune either. At first it seemed to me that that big collagen lump that was formed to encapsulate the infection has been reabsorbed but retained some spores or bactéria within that at times when the collagen get reabsorver gets in touch with blood and gets alivThankin. A few times that i didn't have the antibiotic at hand it subsided on itself in a few hours but one other time it grew so fast and so big that i didn't take chances anymore. The skin looks like a quarter coin slightly darkened with irregular borders maybe scars from só many recurrences and the center is slightly more pink' perhaps there is still bactéria there, but otherwise seems normal. What scares me is how fast it starts and groq withim minutes from nothing to a big mosquito like edema. Thank you for yotherwise

Brief Answer:
Allergic Response to insect bite

Detailed Answer:
Hello

My name is Dr Muhammad Ali Rauf & i will look into your problem.

I have gone through your query and would try to help you in the best possible way. First of all i would suggest you to relax and stop searching on internet regarding this because different diseases present different way and only a doctor can correlate it correctly. A non-professional will only pick certain things and will correlate it wrongly which will ONLY increase stress/anxiety and will make things worse. Do share picture of the rash please.

Your itchy rash appearance could be because of allergic response. Now this allergic response can be because of multiple causes. Two most common in your case could be:
1. Allergy to insect bite
2. Allergy to sugar products

In your case either or both could have causes the problem and recurrent times has caused scarring. I would suggest you following things:

> Observe if itching & rash appears after eating sugar or sugar related products. If it does then for time-being stop those products.
> montelukast one daily for one month. Research has shown that it decreases the allergic response considerably.
> levocetirizine one at night for 5 days
> apply fusidic acid ointment over the rash.
> Do not take unnecessary medicines/septic solutions until or unless advised by a doctor. Even of they are OTC because sometimes they initially relieve the problem but later aggravates it.

Conclusion:
Allergic response manifests as generalized or specific area itching with appearance of rash. It increases in size due to edema formation and then gradually resolves. In some individuals it causes respiratory problem and in that case immediate medical attention is required. In your case recurrent allergic responses have caused the symptoms. Follow the above mentioned steps and observe. Meanwhile do not take stress for this. Soon it will resolve completely.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!
