Brief Answer:
Kidney stones is most probable possibility.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic.
A history of night sweats. loos of appetite, severe headaches. agitation, abnormal kidney function tests and advise to drink plenty of water suggests urinary tract infection (UTI) as the most probable possibility.

UTI can be due to kidney stones or ascending infection.
Kidney stones can cause obstruction and thus abnormal kidney function tests.
UTI causes fever with chills and rigors (which can cause night sweats), constitutional symptoms like loss of appetite, malaise etc.
Kidney stones can cause severe pelvic pain, blood or pus in urine.

The kidney stones which are very small can dislodge from their postion by drinking plenty of water, thus, explaining the advise to drink plenty of water.

Ibuprofen is a pain killer and helps to relieve pain.

Kidney stones can cause UTI and any procedure like spinal tap is not performed in case of infection.

I suggest you to consult your primary health care provider to know the exact cause of these symptoms by appropriate investigations.
Most of the kidney stones are visible on X-ray pelvis and ultrasound.

If you have more queries, I will be glad to answer.
