Question: my daughter was a normal person, went to work and carried on a normal life, 9 months ago she was in an accident where her car went over a cliff 25 feet down. She was taken to the hospital where they did no test and said that she just had cuts and bruises. After about two months we sarted noticing her behaivor changed, she was always thinking people were following her or planing against her. She has memorie loss, can't remmember where she puts things, thinks people aren't who they say they are. Took her to a doctor he diagnosed her as being depressed. The meds he gave her aren't helping any. Anyone have any clue?

Brief Answer:
Psychiatrist help needed

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for your query.

Based on the history provided I suspect your daughter to have either Posttraumatic stress disorder or adjustment disorder.

It could not be due to physical brain damage as she could have presented a sign of the same soon after injury. This I believe to be completely a psychological problem.

I suggest you to take her to Psychiatrist who can counsel her and identify the root cause and help her get rid of the same with Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).

Do not load her with medications which may worsen the condition rather help help.

Wish you good health.

regards,
