Question: Dr Klerida, If my barium test does indeed show a malroation, but without obstruction, could I still have abdominal pain? I notice when I exercise, and use weights that after, not during, I get abdominal pain. Could the malrotation cause some kind of spasms that happen after exercise and as result cause my pain. Also, if, for some reason, I will need surgery, is it the Ladd procedure and does it fix the problem?
Dr Klerida, it appears I do not have a malrotation, after talking to the
radiologist, who did the Barium test. They also did the Barium with follow through. Why didn't the GI order this follow through early on? Itseems a lot of things can go wrong with the small intestine?
Dr Klerida, This question is more important than the other two. on my
MRI it was noted the small bowel does not demonstrate any gross abnormalities. The
bone marrow signal is maintained. On the
ct scan it was noted the small bowel and colonic loops are nondilated and no obstructive. Only a minimal degree of
diverticulosis is actively seem. What does this mean regarding the small intestine?
