What Causes Abdominal Pain And Nausea?

default
Posted on Thu, 18 May 2017
Question: I have had pain in stomach with nausea for two days. I had diarrhea the other day but it is gone. That pain persists and makes me feel nauseated. I take metformin ( skip AM dose ) and am finishing up some Bactrim DS which was for a potential infl of epididymis. Ready to go to hops for further follow up as I don't know if it is the meds , pancreatitis, a gall stone or even a kidney stone (had them in the past). A flu would have hit and run by now. I am also chilling. I am 67 yr old male in otherwise good health

Brief Answer:
Take Omeprazole 20mg per orally!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for this query.

I suspect you have pill induced gastritis. It's good that the diarrhea is gone but I'd suggest you take Omeprazole 20mg by most once daily. This will address your pain. It is available over the counter and there is no need for a prescription. Keep me informed how you respond to this.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me if need be.

Regards
