What Causes A White Spot On The Leg?

Question: hi Doctor.

I am 32 yrs old..my left leg has a white spot . picture attached.

just wanted to check if it's a skin disease or a symptom of psoriasis..

my mother has white spots of psoriasis on her full body so was just tensed if this is genetic by any chance.

I have gone through your complaints as well as reviewed the attached photograph.
It is not looking like psoriasis.
It seems to be either a patch of vitiligo or post inflammatory depigmentation secondary to some unnoticed trauma or injury.

how should I confirm if it's patch of vitiligo and how it can be cured. I don't want it to spread across.

Go for wood's lamp examination, clobetasol propionate & tacrolimus ointment

Detailed Answer:
For confirmation you need to consult a dermatologist and go for wood's lamp examination of the spot.
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to apply clobetasol propionate cream on the white spot in the morning and tacrolimus 0.1 percent ointment on the affected area at night.
These are prescription drugs and should be used under the supervision of the doctor.
