Brief Answer:
Throat congestion

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I went through your query and understood your concerns.

Any tear in throat would have resulted in bleeding, you have not mentioned anything about bleeding, so I presume no bleeding. If there was no bleeding less likely a tear in larynx.
For my patients with similar complaints I would like to take complete history and physical examination. Throat examination for tonsils, red congested throat. Depending on examination findings relevant tests.
I advice my patients
1. salt warm water gargling 3-4 times a day.
2. steam inhalation.
3. avoid cold food for few days.
4. analgesic with anti inflamatory medication to reduce congestion.

With these measures pain should reduce. if not need to be treated with antibiotic.

Hope I answered your query. Feel free to ask further related query.

Regards
