Brief Answer:
Looks like a superficial skin infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi...Looks like a superficial skin infection or pyoderma.

I have a few question for you -

1. Is there any fever?
2. How is the baby feeding?
3. It seems to be appearing in two places which means it could be spreading - are there any similar lesions over the body anywhere else?
4. Dis she touch any chemical inadvertently?
How long have you been observing this?

Regards - Dr. Sumanth

Brief Answer:
Not an emergency but it can spread - I suggest you consult a dermatologist

Detailed Answer:
Hi...This is not an emergency but it can spread - I suggest you consult a dermatologist regarding this.

Meanwhile I suggest you clean the area with clean water and apply Mupirocin ointment over the area (If Mupirocin is available as over the counter mediation in your country).

I am suggesting Mupirocin as community acquired MRSA bug is becoming prevalent now a days.
