What Causes A Painful Lump Under The Right Rib Cage?

default
Posted on Thu, 22 Jun 2017
Question: Two years ago I was told I had non alcoholic fatty liver disease. In the last year my blood work has shown a marked increase in my liver markers. (Two tests in a row taken six months apart) My glucose is also slightly elevated. The Doctor told me to cut down on all my carbs to - two per day and cut out as much sugar as I possibly can. And to eat at least five to six servings of vegetables per day (along with cutting my fruit intake to no more than two servings per day). I do have a small lump under my right rib cage (toward my right side) and do experience pain in that area as well. Should I be doing more to address this situation?

Brief Answer:
Get blood HbA1c level checked

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. You need to get your blood HbA1c level checked. If it is raised you need to be on regular medication to control the blood sugar. This is very important in order to keep the liver situation in control.

Regular morning walk is indispensable in your case. Back it up with a healthy diet.

Let me know if I could help further.

Regards
