What Causes A Painful Bruise On The Abdomen After Injury?

default
Posted on Tue, 27 Dec 2016
Question: 3 weeks ago I bumped into a very sharp corner of a table hitting my lower right side abdomen. There was a large bruise with pain and discomfort for a week. The second week the pain got worse and I had to hold and press the injured area to go from sitting to standing. The third week I still had to go through the same procedure for sitting to standing but the pain became almost an all day occurrence. Laying on my right side is very painful.

Thank you for istening,

Contrast enhanced CT scan of the abdomen and its wall supplemented with high resolution ultrasonography with color doppler.
