What Causes A Lump With Pressure Near The Knee Joints While Squatting?

default
Posted on Fri, 17 Nov 2023
Question: After working out yesterday, I noticed when I squatted down I had pressure and what felt like a bone protrusion on the inside of my right leg. When my leg is extended there is no pain or sign of injury, but when performing a squat at about halfway there is intense pressure and a visible mass on the inside part of my knee joint.

Brief Answer:

Possible diagnosis: Muscle sprain

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

I have gone through your query and the attached picture.
The swelling and pain are likely due to muscle strain.

You can apply ice to the area and take Advil thrice daily to relieve pain. Take rest and keep the affected leg elevated whenever possible.

The pain and.swelling will.subside in few days. If you do not notice any improvement in the next 4 to 5 days, follow up with your primary care provider.

Also, avoid exercising until the pain has subsided to provide time for the muscle to recover.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care
