Question: I have a lump on left wrist on the top where I can actually see my vein move under the lump. I had blood drawn two days prior and told her it hurt at the time. Could this be any relation to my vein ? It also does feel like it is a little painful from my elbow inside to the lump which is why I think my vein was injured somehow.

Brief Answer:
Looks to be a blood clot as per the history you have provided.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history of a lump on the left wrist on top - vein move under the lump - Blood drawn two days prior, told her that it hurt that time - feels like little painful from elbow inside to the lump - which is why you think that your vein was injured somehow.

My thoughts: If the lump is at or near site of puncture, it is due to the blood coming out of the puncture site and get accumulated under the skin.
This is a clot.
The treatment is:
Do not touch or fondle it.
This is usually self-limiting as it is a blood clot and the body will absorb it completely over time.
I am not sure why the pain would occur the way you have explained. Please elucidate further.

Hi yes the blood was drawn on Friday but it was taken from inside my elbow the lump however is on my wrist so it's not that close together so I am not sure if it would be a blood clot. What else do you think it might be and what signs should I look for if I need to seek medical attention
I have actually read up on a lump on the wrist and received information about the possibility of a cyst so can you give me some specifics on what I need to look for it if I need to be concerned about something getting worse or what the signs might be?

Brief Answer:
Please give details and post actual photographs if possible.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your feedback.
Read and understood your history.
Since the blood was drawn from the inside of elbow, the lump surely at the wrist is not connected to the blood drawn.
The specifics depend upon the further information you provide.
Please give some details:
Since when is the lump present?
Is it translucent or of the skin color?
Any pain or tenderness?
Can you please provide some clear and focused photograph?
Is it mobile- does the skin move with it or over it?

Brief Answer:
Most probably a ganglion.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the clear picture.
Although of a short duration, this looks to be a ganglion.
It is rounded, near the vein on the wrist joint.
Not related to the puncture.
