What Causes A Lump After A Bruise On Right Forearm?
Question: Many weeks ago (I unfortunately cannot remember exactly when), I had a bad bruise on my right forearm due to hard contact with a door. The bruise healed and no longer hurt, so I stopped paying attention to the area. Tonight as I was playing with my daughter, I noticed that the lump the bruise caused was still there. It seems bigger in diameter than before? Tho not as swollen. It is not painful at all. Should I worry about this?

There is not much to see. There is a very slight incline in the picture I uploaded (on top) and that is where the swelling is. It is hard and immovable.
Brief Answer:
Povidone, neosporin
Detailed Answer:
Hello again, Madam.

I understand your concern for not uploading the image.
Based on the information you provided. The discoloration is expected as the trauma could have caused rupture of the small subcutaneous vessels. The blood takes time to get reabsorbed and removed subsequently. You should apply povidone solution and triple antibiotic ointment such as Neosporin on the affected region. Most likely it will resolve in a week.
