Brief Answer:
No need to worry about that.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXX,
I can understand your concern .
I would like to inform you that this increased sense of smell at this age has many causes .

You may be aware that all this smell sensation are carried by nerves to our brain through multiple channels and connections . Any problem with this track can cause this.

Certain drugs such as methotrexate ,increasing age and certain viral infection can cause this. Some time it is associated with other illnesses such as fibromyalgia in which there is pain at multiple sites in body.

There is no need to worry about that. Some time this may become normal over a period of time. In the mean time you need to avoid those smells if they are very unpleasant to you.

You can discuss this with your physician as well and avoid using any drug that can aggravates your problem.

Hope this will help you . If you have any other concerns please feel free to message me . Thanks for contacting HCM .
