What Causes A Hard White Spot At The Back Of The Throat?
Question: Hello. I have developed a hard white spot on the.back of my.throat. I can prove it with the top my tongue. It is white, hard, and not painful, but it is raised and looks like a whitehead pimple on my skin. There is only one and it is not spreading or on my tonsils but on the back wall of the throat.

Thank you for your reply. I have had a colorless bump there for many months but it seems to have grown over the past few days. Today I looked at it and it was white. It resembles a whitehead pimple that looks like it will pop (like pus has collected there) or a milia. There is no pain or redness around it. No fever. No swollen glands that I can tell. No voice problems.

The lesion is a sign of chronic infection of posterior wall. the most common cause is a post nasal drip due to a deviation in nasal septum. From the appearance it doesn't seem to be malignant at all but it is advisable to get yourself examined by an ENT SPECIALIST and get a CT paranasal sinuses done.
Use hexidine gargles and take tablet vitamin c once daily.
