Question: How can lorazepam be found in a person urine if they do not take lorazepam? thank you.

There are specific and non-specific ways.


First the non-specific. Specimens can always be lost, misfiled, contaminated, mis entered into the computer, etc. The dipstick method is notoriously inaccurate.

Then the specific. First of all, the test could be correct. if someone is on or taken or taken accidentally (and date rape drugs, and additives in other drugs of abuse can cross react) ANY sedative then the test will ACCURATELY show up for up to a week.
Second, some drugs are similar to lorazepam and react in the test. These include ZOLOFT and DAYPRO.
