Question: I noticed a circular thing around the size of a XXXXXXX near the pelvic bone of my 17 month old daughter. It seems to move, and is whitish. Should I be concerned?

I feel it but don't see it on the other side too. Can it just be a gland?

Brief Answer:
tell the exact site of the lump.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your feedback.
May I know the exact site of the lump please.
Is it at the groin ? Or the side of pelvic bone ?
The glands (lymph nodes) are present only at the groin part at the meeting line of the thigh with abdomen.

It seems to be the groin. The center-left between leg and abdomen. It feels about the size of a large bean.

Brief Answer:
Can be a lymph node / cyst / small hernia

Detailed Answer:
The lump in the groin, seems to be moving , whitish, about the size of a large bean can be a lymph node or a cyst or a small hernia (rare in a girl child).
This confirmed by a clinical examination and ultrasonography and FNAC is done only if Lymph node is suspected.
Doctor will also see for any sign of infection in the drainage area like leg and private parts. A child can have Vulvo-vaginitis casing lymph node enlargement. You can also see is there is any septic focus, albeit small.

My first recommendation stands; I will urge you to see her physician / surgeon who can evaluate for the cause of this lump.

Regards
