Brief Answer:
Gastritis being the commonest cause, Better to get investigations

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood the concerns.
Burning pain in abdomen at the left side of belly button as you have explained can be due to gastritis or ulcer as it is related to hunger too.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Take antacid every three hours, particularly when you are on empty stomach.
Take a PPI like Omeprazole.
Soft bland diet.
Avoid oily and spicy foods.
No stress or anxiety. Relax.
See the difference with these; if these measures help to relieve the symptoms then this is most probably due to gastritis related thing.
Upper GI Endoscopy, an opinion of your Doctor or a Gastroenterologist preferably will help for the clinical evaluation, examination and further investigations as needed to know the exact diagnosis and proper further management.
I hope this answers your query and helps you.

Take care,
Dr. T Chandrakant
