What Causes A Bruise On The Abdomen?

default
Posted on Wed, 12 Apr 2017
Question: Hello! :) Thank you, in advance for your help! :) I was in a car accident a little over a week ago. I had a large bruise on my stomach tat appeared a few days afterwards. It has now turned hard in the middle part of it. I have started putting ice on it in hopes to "soften" it and make it go down. Could you please tell me what this may be, how to help it more, and if I should go see the doctor? Thank you!

Brief Answer:
It is a Hearing in the Abdominal wall.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, Welcome to Health Care Magic and Thanks for your question.
What you have is an Abdominal wall hematoma or a Blood collection around the muscle of the anterior abdominal wall. There could be mild Pain also in the area specially on sitting up or lying down.
It will slowly get resolved over the next few weeks and there is nothing to worry about. You should apply warm water foamentation or hot water bottle over it to hasten the process. You can also take Tablet Chymoral Forte thrice a day for 10 to 15 days. This will also help to get it to dissolve fast.
Take care and do let me know if there are any further queries on this issue.
Take care
