What Causes A Blood Blister On The Anus?

default
Posted on Wed, 23 Nov 2016
Question: Two evenings ago while showering, I felt an approximate 1/2" bubble on my anus. I don't have any bleeding, just minor itching and I had my wife look at it and she says, " it doesn't look like a pimple or infected, it looks like part of your body".

Brief Answer:
Possibke hemorrhoids or rectum prolapse

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.

This sounds like minor rectum prolapse or hemorrhoids so you should not be concerned. You should soften your stool, have sitz baths, and apply antihemorhoidal creams. If there is enlargement or blood in stool, you should see proctologist for further evaluation.

Wish you good health. Regards
