What Causes A Blood Blister On The Anus?

Question: Two evenings ago while showering, I felt an approximate 1/2" bubble on my anus. I don't have any bleeding, just minor itching and I had my wife look at it and she says, " it doesn't look like a pimple or infected, it looks like part of your body".
